Quintessa

Quintessa is a 280-acre site hidden in the heart of Rutherford, and the whole project rests on one idea: that this land, with its range of geology, exposures and microclimates, was destined to be a great wine estate. Agustin and Valeria Huneeus founded it on that belief.

160 acres are planted across 26 blocks with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere. Every block is farmed organically and Biodynamically, then harvested and vinified individually so the nuances survive into the blend. Fruit is picked early in the morning, sorted, and gravity-fed.
