Nicholson Ranch

Nicholson Ranch sits in the southern foothills of Sonoma at the point where Napa and Sonoma meet and four of California's best appellations converge. That location, and the mix of soils, slopes and climate that comes with it, is what the estate is built on.

Everything is 100% estate grown and estate made across 40 acres, fermented in small batches and aged up to three years in French oak. The Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs have taken Double Gold and Best of Class awards at the San Francisco Chronicle competition, the largest judging of its kind, for five consecutive years. Merlot and Syrah round out the range, and the grapes are farmed naturally and sustainably. The vineyard and cave tour is the experience to book. Michael scores the ambiance an 8. A strong opener for a southern Sonoma route.
