Chimney Rock

Chimney Rock is instantly recognisable for its Cape Dutch architecture, white-gabled and completely unlike anything else on the Silverado Trail. It is a genuine landmark in the Stags Leap District.

What matters more is what is in the glass. Michael scores the wine a 9, one of the highest marks in this collection, against a 7 for both ambiance and staff. That is a strong signal: come for the Cabernet. Production is limited and estate-grown from one of Napa's most storied appellations, part of Terlato Family Vineyards. Tours, tasting experiences, private events and large-group bookings are all available, and sustainability and winemaking history each get their own programme. Reservations are recommended. A high-value stop on a Napa Cabernet tour.
