Buena Vista

Buena Vista was established in 1857, which makes it California's first premium winery and the starting point for the entire state's wine industry. The winery's own description of its heritage as one of the most colorful of all California wineries is accurate. Buena Vista has gone through some major changes in recent years and each one is more beautiful than the last. The overall ambiance of the property in gorgeous. A tour of their property including a visit to their wine caves will prove to be one of your favorite places to visit in all of Sonoma with an overall experience that we believe beyond outstanding.

Their collection of wines is extensive including: Chateau Buena Vista, the Founder's Collection, The Sheriff of Buena Vista, Private Reserve, Vinicultural Society, Heritage and Boutique, covering many varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Grenache, Rose and Sparkling. There current tastings range from their Cabernet & Chocolate tasting to a Champagne and Caviar tasting but they offer a Current Release Tasting as well. Making so many different wines it is difficult to make them all great but Buena Vista scored an overall average of 8.5 on their wines as they were all Very Good to Excellent. Reserve ahead at 800-926-1266. A natural history-first anchor if you are planning a Southern Sonoma day of wine tasting.
